AS part of efforts to facilitate victory for the Obi-Datti campaign organisation in next weekend’s presidential poll, an anonymous donor has handed over 50 SUV vehicles to aid the last-minute campaign to the Presidential Campaign Council of the Labour Party (LP) in Adamawa State.
Presenting the SUVs at the LP PCC office in Yola, a representative of the donor, Yusuf Jabatawa, said the cars were a personal gesture of the donor to ease movement and aid victory for Peter Obi and Datti Ahmed.
According to him, the SUVs is the last minute strategy by the Labour Party to win the hotly contested poll, stressing that it will enable them to go to the nooks and crannies of the state to converse for vote for Peter Obi and Ahmed Datti for the 25th February presidential election across the 21 local government areas of the state.
“I’m here to represent my boss who chooses to be anonymous, he doesn’t want the public to know who he is.
This is a personal gesture by him, donating 50 vehicles for use of the party to ease logistics and aid the party to victory. He has taken it upon himself to take care of the logistics needs of the campaign in the state,” Jabatawa said.
He asked the electorate to vote for the LP candidate come Saturday because the party’s candidate is the hope of greatness that Nigeria has.
“We know what the ruling parties these past years have plunged the nation into. The donor believes that the Obi-Datti is what will take us out of the despicable situation that we find ourselves in. Peter Obi and Datti Ahmed represent hope for Nigeria,” he said.
Receiving the vehicles on behalf of the LP PCC, the state coordinator, Professor Caleb Filli said the donor’s decision to support the campaign council was a decision to support Nigeria because Peter Obi is Nigeria’s hope for a better future.
“Peter Obi is the person with the capacity, competence and compassion to lead. I urge Nigerians to rekindle the hope that we have by coming out on Saturday to vote for him”.
The state chairman of the Labour Party, Mr. Christopher Nicholas explained that the vehicles would be deployed for an intensified grassroots campaign across the 21 LGAs of Adamawa State.
