HEAD of the International Commerce Association, Charles Udeogaranya, has tasked African leaders to seize the opportunity of the upcoming 2024 China-Africa summit to build the greatest economic collaborations in the world.
Udeogaranya disclosed this yesterday while speaking with newsmen, noting that African leaders should focus on the promotion of business-to-business (B2B) partnerships and direct currency swaps rather than solely seeking loans for government projects without or with minimal economic impact on her citizenry.
He said this would avail opportunities and affordabilities to local enterprises and positively yield the greatest impact on the people as well as lead to massive job creation.
Udeogaranya, who recently toured China with other media personnel, pointed out that China is the most friendly nation in the world and that their willingness to partner with African nations in a win-win situation is glaring for all to see and as they genuinely deserve to be received and treated kindly as African brothers and sisters.
According to him, “The 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) will be held in Beijing from 4 to 6 September 2024 is a make or mar situation; President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his African counterparts must seize the opportunity and get the best out of it.”
