A 22-year-old man, Abdulrahman Ishaq, has been arrested by the police in Adamawa State on an allegation of stealing a commercial tricycle, better known as Keke NAPEP.
The spokesman of the Adamawa State Police Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, who confirmed the development to newsmen, said on Saturday 8th July, the 22-year-old, who resides in Geriyo, a community in Yola North Local Government Area, was arrested after he allegedly took the Keke NAPEP from the premises of a Mosque at Gate 4, one of the entry gates to the Jimeta Modern Market, Yola.
The Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, further stated that the suspect removed the Keke NAPEP from where the owner parked it and joined other worshipers observing prayers at the Mosque.
“The suspect was arrested within Jimeta and investigation has revealed that he took the tricycle from around the Gate 4 Mosque when worshipers were observing their prayers” Nguroje said.
