The Nigeria U-17 produced an impressive comeback that lead to a 3-2 win over South Africa at the Stade Mohamed-Hamlaoui on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, the Eaglets’ head coach Nduka Ugbade, made two changes to the team that lost to Morocco with the duo of Light Eke and Charles Agada in the starting lineup, replacing Precious Williams and Favour Daniel.
The first corner kick of the game to South Africa was well converted into a goal by Duncan Crowie’s boys. However, Nigeria scored ten minutes later but the goal was ruled offside.
Charles Agada thirty-four minutes equalizer sparked up the atmosphere for Nigeria but Mabena restored the one-goal lead to the South Africans just before half-time.
Meanwhile, Light Eke wasted no time in the second half as he equalized for the Golden Eaglets, assisted by Charles Agada.
However, Abubakar Abdullahi’s sixty-four minutes cool finish via a low cross from Emmanuel Michael gave Nigeria the deserved 3-2 win.
