THE Department of Common Law, Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin has awarded the best-graduating student in the department with a cash prize of ten thousand naira (N10,000.00) only for her feat.
A letter addressed to Adebimpe Azeezat Adedeji, dated 23rd October 2023, exclusively obtained by Eighteen-Eleven Media advised the awardee to present the letter to the bursar for payment of the sum. The letter was signed by Taiwo K. Afolayan, Deputy Kygistrar (Senate).
The letter read:
AWARD OF DEPARTMENTAL PRIZE FOR THE BEST GRADUATING STUDENT IN THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMON LAW IN THE 2020/2021 ACADEMIC SESSION

I am pleased to inform you that after due consideration of your performance at the 2020/2021 sessional examinations, the Senate has, on the recommendation of your Department, approved that the Departmental prize be awarded to you as the best-graduating student in the Department of Common Law. The value of the award is Ten Thousand Nain (NIO,000.00) only.
You are advised to present this letter to the University Bursar for the payment of the award to you.
