A former aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, Okoi Obono-Obla has taken a swipe at former president Olusegun Obasanjo, accusing him of speaking negatively about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
Okoi Obono-Obla, a legal practitioner, while appearing on Television Continental (TVC) suggested that Obasanjo harbours bitterness towards Tinubu’s presidency.
Okoi Obono-Obla indicated that Obasanjo’s influence is limited as the people have already elected President Tinubu
He said, “It’s what we call ‘bad belle—sour grapes. You know, he (Obasanjo) told us that he has left partisan politics; he was very partisan. In the last election, he canvassed support for Peter Obi, so I think he’s very bitter that somebody like our respectful president, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom he doesn’t like, has become Nigeria’s president, and there’s nothing he can do about it because it is the will of the Nigerian people.”
