A Federal Government memo to ministries, agencies and departments deploying leakages of official documents has itself been leaked.
The memo dated 19 February 2024 with reference number HCSF/3065/VI/189 emanated from the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation.
It states thus: “It has been observed with dismay, the increase in the cases of leakage of sensitive official documents in Ministries, Departments and
Agencies (MDA). This is very embarrassing to the government and therefore unacceptable.
“As part of the efforts to curb this undesirable development, all Permanent Secretaries are to fast-track the migration to the digitalised workflow system, and ensure effective deployment of the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Solution, This will reduce physical contacts”.
Eighteen-Eleven Media reports that confidential government documents have in recent weeks found their way to the public domain. One such document is approval by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of about One Billion Naira (1,000,000,000.00) approval of Five Hundred Million Naira (N500,000,000.00) as the first instalment of a One Billion Naira (N1,000,000,000.00) allegedly approved by President Tinubu for the inauguration of the 37-man Tripartite Committee on New National Minimum Wage as reportedly contained in a leaked memo by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume.
