An accountant with the telecommunications giant, Glo has reportedly killed herself.

Folake Abiola was said to have carried out the ignoble act overnight at her Lekki home.

According to a Facebook account, Her Excellency Ennie Crysella (Lady Ennie) lived a solitary life for seven years “no husband, no child, no boyfriend
No sex in seven years, just church”.

She went further, “A lonely life can really be depressing and suicide threatening, honestly may God continue to help us ni oo..

“That’s why I don’t blame the party-goers, it’s really better to be a party freak than being depressed, ladies especially single women please don’t kill yourself with loneliness, truly, sometimes we want to stay away from men due to their lies, etc but still it’s not worth it… if you know you don’t have a man of your own, please go out with friends, party, club, drink, if you like get high and sleep away your sorrow, life goes on….”

Her post expectedly elicited varied reactions with some admonishing that suicide wasn’t the option.

A family member (name withheld) also confirmed that Folake has been battling depression for some time on account of “no husband and no child” before she finally took her life.

Confirming the incident, the spokesman of Lagos State police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin said when police officers got to the scene her family members were equally there and they officially requested that her body be released to them for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.

He said that based on compassionate grounds, the body was released to her family members for burial.
