President Muhammadu Buhari is presently holding a meeting with elected governors on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Although the agenda of the.meeting was not made public, a source said it is not unconnected with the scheduled national convention of the party slated for 6th and 7th June.
President Buhari has not publicly endorsed any of the presidential aspirants, however, his aides have confirmed he indeed has a preferred choice. He also admitted this in an interview with a private television but declined to reveal his identity.
Meanwhile, it is expected that Mr President may at the ongoing meeting reveal to the governors who he intends to support and then seek their cooperation in that regard.
Eighteen-Eleven Media confirms that all the APC governors are in attendance at the meeting.
