STANLEY NwokeOntop has reacted to the death of Prince Henry Ode, a fast-rising actor and producer, who was killed during a shootout with police in Lagos over his alleged involvement in kidnapping.
Henry was alleged to be amongst the notorious gang of kidnappers that engaged the Lagos State Police and was killed during the shootout on Friday, 5th July 2024.
Confirming the incident, the Command’s Special Squad One Team said that the feat was achieved when it engaged the men around the Ajao, Okota, Isolo, and Ladipo axis of the state.
According to reports, five AK-47 rifles and two SUVs were recovered during the operations.
Reacting, Stanley, in a post on his Instagram page, urged the leadership of the Actors Guild of Nigeria to engage in proper background checks for its members before certifying them.
He added that Ode has given the movie industry a terrible name with his actions, stressing that the deceased actor will not rest in peace.
He wrote: “Dear @princehenryodenigbo why did you die so quickly, we would have made you die slowly, we would have disgraced you very well before you died.
“But all the same I wish you death after death. You came to Nollywood with your cursed money and now you have given Nollywood a very bad name.
“The producer is also an actor self. Kingpin of kidnapper. May your wicked soul never rest in peace. Evil person.
“These are the pictures of the kidnapper Nollywood producer who was kpai on Thursday. This is his handle @princehenryodenigbo you can wish him more death after death.
“Nollywood industry should be careful of the kind of people they accept in their guilds. Especially producers.”
