A number of Nigerians, Don Jazzy, Victor Osimhen, and Yhemo Lee, gifted controversial crossdresser Idrus Okuneye (better known as Bobrisky) approximately One Hundred Million Naira (N100,000,000.00) while he was in custody at the Kirikiri Correctional Facility, Lagos.
Bobrisky disclosed this while speaking with Bae U Barbie on Saturday, even as he emphasized his disagreement with the charges, maintaining that his actions did not warrant imprisonment.
Much later, Bobrisky posted on his social media platform that a number of prominent Nigerians reached out to him financially while serving a six-month jail term following his conviction for Naira abuse.
The self-acclaimed ‘Mummy of Lagos’ expressed heartfelt gratitude to actresses Funke Akindele, Moyo Lawal, Eniola Ajao, Omoborty, Tonto Dikeh, Sotayo Gaga, singers Niniola, Tiwa Savage, Don Jazzy, socialite, Abu Abel, footballer Victor Osimhen and many more. He noted a substantial amount of money each celebrity gave him, summing up to N63 million in total.
He gave snippets of the donations to him to include the following:
- Don Jazzy – N4,000,000.00
- Victor Osimhen – N3,000,000.00
- Funke Akindele – N2.500,000.00
- Tonto Dike – N1,000,000.00
- Yhemo Lee – N1.500,000.00
- Chileem Ifeanyichukwu – N1,000,000.00
Recall that Bobrisky was released on Monday, 5 August 2024 after serving six months imprisonment for naira mutilation.
Bobrisky further disclosed that he has no intention of stopping his flamboyant displays of wealth but will switch currencies.
“I am still going to spray money, but I will only spray dollars, not naira”, he said.
