THE presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general election, Mr Peter Obi, has visited author and rights activist, Mr Dele Farotimi, at his Lagos residence.
In a post via X.com on Thursday, the former Anambra state governor said it was the first time he would be meeting Farotimi after his release from a correctional facility in Ekiti State.
“Yesterday, following my visit and meeting with President Obasanjo, I made time to visit my dear younger brother, Dele Farotimi,” Obi wrote.
Obi described Farotimi, who served as a spokesperson for his 2023 presidential campaign, as a symbol of courage.
“Since his return from the correctional facility in Ekiti, I have not had the opportunity to meet with him.
“I was pleased to find him in good spirits and deeply encouraged by his unwavering dedication to the struggle for a better Nigeria.”
