THE home-based Super Eagles could face a challenging group in the first round of the 2024 African Nations Championship.
Reports indicate that the Eagles are not listed among the seeded teams in the tournament draw.
The draw for the biennial competition is scheduled for Tuesday at CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
Teams will be seeded according to their performance in the previous three editions of CHAN: 2022, 2020, and 2018.
The Eagles were unable to qualify for the last two editions of the competition.
They secured a spot at CHAN 2024 by defeating their longtime rivals Ghana with a score of 3-1.
Pot 1 will include the co-hosts Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda along with the defending champions Senegal.
The CHAN showcases national teams made up of players who are currently active in their domestic leagues.
It is scheduled to take place from the 1st of February through 28 February 2025.
