THIRTY-SEVEN-YEAR-OLD Kenyan lady, Margaret Nduta will later today take her last supper at 7:30pm local time and then be hanged to death at 8:30pm in Vietnam at 7:30 pm, haπged at 8:30 pm in Vietnam after she was found guilty having of 2Kgs of trafficking in cocaine.
The hope of a reprieve for Margaret was forlorn as the Kenyan government had no treaty agreement with Vietnam that can allow a prisoner to be transferred to Kenya. There is also no bilateral agreement between the two nations.
At the moment, there is no Kenyan Embassy in Vietnam that could negotiate the transfer of Margaret Nduta.

Vietnam’s law and the nature of the crime Margaret committed have severe penalties compared to other countries. This shuts down the fate of Margaret Nduta.
Meanwhile, in the event the Kenyan government is desirous of lending a helping hand to Margaret Nduta, they have to write to the Vietnam Embassy in Tanzania which, will in turn, pass the information to Bangkok Embassy in Thailand which is the only accredited Embassy to directly talk to Vietnam government.
