The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has reacted to the Saturday victory of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ademola Adeleke in the governorship election.
In a cryptic message on his verified Facebook page Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s immediate predecessor in office simply said:
“Osun Le Tente.

“This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.” – (Daniel 4:17)
The erstwhile governor has been engaged in what could be a fratricidal political war with his successor in the months leading to Saturday’s poll. The minister and his loyalists stayed away from campaign activities leading up to the election.
A member of the minister’s camp contested the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket with the governor but the governor was returned as the party candidate in controversial circumstances.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) early Sunday morning declared Senator Adeleke the winner of the election.
