Technical Adviser of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Gbenga Ogunbote said he would rather take the positives from the game against Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Vandrezzer FC than allow it to distract him.
In his post-match interview after the Oluyole Warriors lost 0-1 to the Lagos-based side in a Group A match of the maiden edition of the ValueJet Cup Pre season Tournament holding at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, the “Oracle” as the gaffer is fondly called, played down the loss.
“We only trained for two days before coming for this match and all I can say is that we are going to take the positives from this game as we progress in our build-up to the season”, said the ex-Remo Stars coach.
Continuing, the former Sunshine Stars and Rangers International handler explained. “We had a decent game in the first half, but the second half was a bit low. We take the positive out of the game and come out good in the next game”.
The Oluyole Warriors conceded a 53rd-minute goal to succumb to Vandrezzer in Friday’s match but will hope for a better result when they face Ijebu-United on Saturday morning.
