ABIA State bloggers under the auspices of the Online Media Publishers Association of Nigeria (OMPAN) have elected the publisher of PUO Reports, Mr Promise Uzoma Okoro, as Its state chairman.
Before the commencement of the election, the two candidates contesting the coveted seat, Promise Uzoma Okoro and Clinton Uba, signed a peace agreement alongside the elders of the association to abide by the outcome of the election.
Announcing the results, the chairman of the electoral committee, Comrade Ugochukwu Nwankwo, said 34 voters were accredited out of the 35 members by the ELECO to participate in the election.
According to the results declared, Promise Uzoma Okoro polled a total of 24 votes to defeat his rival, Clinton Uba who polled 10 votes
Reacting after his declaration, the chairman-elect promised to carry every member along and revive the association which was his campaign promise ab initio.
