NIGERIA’S Super Eagles will take on the Cheetahs of the Republic of Benin at Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny on 14 November 2024 at 8:00 pm in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification match.
A notable figure expected at the stadium is none other than the captain of the team, Ahmed Musa.
Although he may not be playing, Musa will provide vital support and guidance to the squad.
Inspired by Captain William Troost-Ekong’s conviction, Musa revealed that Ekong’s passion and zeal for Nigeria’s AFCON triumph convinced him to rejoin the team.
Musa has communicated with Coach and teammates, emphasizing a unified goal: securing the AFCON trophy. The team’s determination and Musa’s experience will undoubtedly boost Nigeria’s chances.
Musa was non-playing captain of the team during the last AFCON tournament held early in the year in Côte d’Ivoire where the team lost in the final to the host nation.
