THE Algeria Football Federation will make a decision on the appointment of a new coach for the Desert Foxes this week.
Portuguese Jose Peseiro is among the front runners for the position.
The 63-year-old has already received an offer from the Algeria Federation and they are said to be ready to pay the gaffer a salary in the neighbourhood of N150,000,000.
The former Saudi Arabia and Venezuela coach has requested time to decide on his future.
Peseiro is also waiting for a new offer from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) following the expiration of his contract.
The gaffer guided the Super Eagles to a second-place finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
According to French publication, L’ Equipe, the new president of the Algeria Football Federation, Walid Sadi will decide on the appointment of a new coach for the Desert Foxes this week.
Aside from Peseiro, former Switzerland manager, Vladimir Petkovic has also received an offer from FAF.
Zamalek is also interested in the Portuguese tactician according to reports emanating from Egypt.
