THE newly installed honorary chieftaincy title holder of the Ekotedo community was on Friday charged to remain committed to the growth, progress and development of Ekotedo community, the factors that paved the way for his installation.
This charge was given by the chairman of Yoruba World Assembly, Baale of Ekotedo, Ibadan, Elder (Dr.) Taiye Ayorinde at the installation of A are (Dr) Raymond Adeyinka Adewale (a.k.a Dr Ray) as Aare Parakoyi of Ekotedo Ibadan.
The installation ceremony was held at Baale’s palace, 105 Ayorinde Street, Behind Lekan Salami Stadium Adamasingba, Ibadan on Friday, 13 December 2024. Besides being fired up at the thought of getting a new position from which he could better serve his people, Aare (Dr.) Raymond was distinctly excited about the fact that the title corresponds to his fixation on improving the lot of Ibadan indigenes regardless of whether they are privileged or not.
In response to the appointment, Aare (Dr) Raymond Adeyinka Adewale, the CEO of ARYFAD Travel Limited, was modest even as he thanked Baale of Ekotedo for the privilege to serve in a higher capacity. He stated that the promotion is a testament to his commitment to the community. Convinced that his part is true and impactful, Aare Ray promised to do more.
He and his family members also expressed their profound gratitude to everyone for their presence and prayers towards the installation ceremony.
“We pray that the good Lord continues to bless you all beyond measure and lead you all safely to your various destinations” he concluded.
The colourful ceremony had in attendance some members of Ekotedo community chiefs, the NUJ chairman, Oyo State chapter, Mr Ademola Babalola; Baale Mokola 1, Femi Abonde; families, friends, among others.
