The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Matchday 35 fixtures between Sunshine Stars vs MFM FC witnessed an ugly scene as one of the ball boys was arrested for allegedly hiding balls in a tension-soaked western derby clash which ended 2-1 in favour of the home side.
According to reports, the match commissioner collected the ball from the boy and ordered the Policeman on ground to move the boy out of the stadium.
This has been a reoccurring dilemma in some of the league centres where ball boys act especially towards the end of a game in order to slow down the tempo of the game in favour of their teams.
Goals from Azeez Ajagbe and Ike Brandon condemned MFM FC to a defeat which further cement their place in the NNL next season.
