ANTHONY Joshua was stopped by British rival Daniel Dubois in the fifth round missing out on the chance to become a three-time world heavyweight champion.
The 27-year-old dominated the opening stages of the bout, dropping the two-time former unified heavyweight champion multiple times and eventually demolished two-time world champion Anthony Joshua with a fifth-round knockout to retain his IBF world heavyweight boxing title at a packed Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
In the dramatic fifth round Dubois was momentarily stunned by two right hands and just as Joshua looked to pile on the pressure, the 34-year-old was caught by successive right hands himself and he was down again, this time unable to beat the count.
Anthony Joshua says he won’t retire after his defeat to Daniel Dubois.
