BREAKING: Zambia Captain, Banda Disqualified From WAFCON

Zambia’s captain, Barbra Banda has been disqualified from playing in the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco which commenced on the 2nd of June.

Banda was excused from the tournament for reportedly having a high testosterone level.

Testosterone is the primary sex hormone and anabolic steroid in males. She plays in the Chinese women’s league for Shanghai Shengli. She won the golden boot in 2020.
