CAFCL: We’re Focused On Ourselves, Rivers United Star, Onoja Says Ahead Of Wydad AC Clash

Rivers United star, Joseph Onoja, has said he and his teammates are focused on themselves and not their opponent as they host Wydad AC of Morocco in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League second preliminary round first leg tie on Sunday 9th October at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.

The Pride of Rivers saw off Watanga FC 3-1 on aggregate to set up a mouthwatering tie against the competition’s defending champion.

According to Onoja: “The spirit in camp has been warm and receptive. We know what Is at stake.

“We are not thinking about our opponent, we are thinking about ourselves, what we can do.

“As far as we are concerned, we are the champions of Nigeria and we have to play like champions. Whatever our opponents are doesn’t really matter to us. We just have to do what we know how to do best, win”, he stated.
