NIGERIA’S Chief of Defence Staff during the the first term tenure of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo 1999-2003 is dead.
Admiral Ibrahim Ogohi reportedly gave up the ghost in his Abuja home early this morning after weeks of age-related sickness.
A family source said: “Admiral Ibrahim Ogohi passed on to glory a few minutes ago, early Sunday morning”.
Admiral Ogohi was the first Naval officer to reach four star rank in the Nigerian military, including being the first Chief of Defence Staff from the Navy.
He hailed from Okura, Lafia in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State.
