RECENTLY engaged Super Eagles coach Bruno Labbadia is expected to bring in at least two foreign assistants, even as the proper details of his contract remain shrouded in secrecy.
Labbadia’s appointment was made public by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) last Tuesday
Erdinç Sözer and Bernhard Trares are two men who have been tipped to get the nod, especially since they have both worked with the German tactician regularly in the last couple of years.
Erdinç Sözer is considered Labbadia’s most reliable assistant and most likely be his first choice. The two have worked together at a number of clubs, including Bayer Leverkusen, VfB Stuttgart, VfL Wolfsburg, and Hertha Berlin. He is currently without a job after leaving Turkish side Samsunspor in June.
Bernhard Trares, who is a former centre-back also started working with Labbadia in 2015 at Hamburg and continued their partnership at VfB Stuttgart. He is also currently without a club.
