FOLLOWING successful humanitarian efforts in the 20 local government areas of Lagos State in 2024, a medical outreach initiative, Community Medics, has commenced another round of free medical care for 2025 going around other communities not previously visited in the 20 local government areas of Lagos State, starting with Apapa Local Government Area on the 22nd February 2025.
This selfless service is in a bid to promote health and wellness in underserved communities,
Community Medics, one of the initiatives of Princess Abiodun Islamiyat Oyefusi under her NGO Soul Lifter Foundation, supported by PNR Foundation, Docs and Medics, and other groups, in rendering free medical outreach, mental healthcare, and vision care to the people of Lagos,
This life-changing outreach will take place on Saturday, 22 February 2025, at 10 AM at Tego Field, Opposite Army Intelligence Office, Bony Way, Off Mobile Road by Agbo-Malu Bus Stop, Apapa, Lagos.
What to Expect:
Attendees will have access to free consultation and treatment, courtesy of dedicated doctors, nurses, and health professionals who are volunteering their time and expertise to support the initiative.
Medical Services Available:
- General Health Checks – Blood pressure monitoring, blood sugar testing, rapid diagnostic tests, and BMI assessments.
- Medical Consultation & Free Medications – Expert advice and prescriptions for various health conditions.
- Mental Health Support – Addressing schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, drug-related issues, stress management, and bipolar disorder.
- Vision Care – Free eye tests, consultations with optometrists and ophthalmologists, and free prescription eyeglasses.

Community Medics is also seeking volunteer doctors and nurses to join this noble cause. If you have a passion for saving lives and making a difference, this is your opportunity to give back to society.
The Community Medical van will be visiting different communities to sustain life and bring healthcare closer to the people. This initiative is driven by humanity and the need to make healthcare accessible for all.
