NIGERIA’SU-20 national football team, the Flying Eagles, conceded two unreplied goals to the Young Elephant of Cote d’Ivoire in a friendly at the Stade Félix Houphouët Boigny Stadium in Abidjan on Friday.
The Junior Elephants apparently came for revenge for their erstwhile 2-0 defeat in the first leg of that encounter played last Wednesday.
The two-legged match was used by both countries as friendlies to prepare for the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
The future Super Eagles, coached by Aliyu Zubairu, will now return to Abuja and proceed on a break before reconvening for their final preparation ahead of the U-20 AFCON.
Nigeria is in Group B alongside Egypt, Morocco and South Africa.
