THE Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, has approved the appointment and redeployment of six new members of the Customs Management Team, following the statutory retirement of some hitherto holders of the positions.
The new management team comprises BM Jibo, who is now DCG Finance/Administration and Technical Services (FATS); OA Alajogun, DCG Enforcement, Inspection and Investigation (EI&I) and IG Umar, Ag. ACG Headquarters;
Others are OA Salefu, Ag. ACG Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC); BA Makinde Ag. ACG Human Resource Development (HRD) and T Bomodi, Ag. ACG Enforcement, Inspection and Investigation (EI&I).
A statement issued by CSC Abdullahi Maiwada, the National Public Relations Officer (NPRO) of Customs, on behalf of CGC Adeniyi, posited that the appointment of the officers was a testament to their exemplary services and dedication to the Nigeria Customs Service.
He said Nigeria Customs remained committed to providing strategic leadership that would enhance effective and efficient service delivery for optimum performance.
While thanking the retired members of the management for their meritorious services, Adeniyi congratulated the newly appointed officers and charged them to redouble their efforts, to ensure the Service achieved greater heights in its mandates of revenue generation, suppression of smuggling and trade facilitation.
