THE Labour Party (LP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday lost top members in their ranks to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State.
This followed the continued and vigorous campaign of the PDP in the state ahead of the 2023 election in the country.
The campaigns, led by the state governor and vice presidential candidate of the PDP for the elections, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, is also supported by his immediate predecessor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.
This has seen the PDP winning converts from the LP and APC, which are presenting Peter Obi and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, respectively, as their presidential candidates.
At the PDP campaign on Tuesday, the LP candidate for Delta North Senatorial District, Ebiuwa Ifeanyi Kelvin, and members of the APC in their numbers, led by a Ward Chairman, Achugbue Kelvin, defected to the PDP.
They dumped their parties at the Delta PDP campaign rally attended by Okowa; Uduaghan; the governorship candidate and Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori; his running mate, Sir Monday Onyeme; and state PDP Chairman, Kingsley Esiso.
