THE Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has counselled the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to come out clean on the alleged plot to destabilize the state’s civil service, saying no amount of gerrymandering will cover the alleged destructive act of the main opposition party.
The PDP in a statement signed by its Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi, flayed the APC for attempting to drag the PDP into its N50m bribe scandal mess, calling on the APC to be honourable for once by owning up to its wrongdoing and apologize to Osun people for trying to disrupt its peace and stability.
Hon. Bisi stressed that the PDP is too busy with clearing the mess created by the APC and delivering good governance to the Osun people, asking the APC to wake up to the reality of rejection by the Osun people and stop planning to derail the wheel of progress already set in motion by the Governor Ademola Adeleke-led administration.
“We understand that the Osun APC is still bitter about its rejection by the people, but it never occurred to us that it would go to this point of trying to induce labour leaders to destabilize the state,” Hon. Bisi noted.
“Our party is deeply worried that the APC is going about its opposition in a destructive manner because that was exactly what the news story clearly established. Offering N50 million bribe to labour leaders just to unsettle the Adeleke administration showed that the party never meant well for Osun State, as the effect of that disastrous move would be too devastating for the state.
“What the APC tried to do is set Osun on fire but for the patriotism of the labour leaders who foiled it. In the exclusive news story, it was pointedly detailed APC’s evil agenda against Osun all in a desperate bid for power.”
The PDP said the APC cannot distract attention from the weight of its dangerous scheming to throw Osun into chaos, noting that the PDP is too occupied with the task of transforming the state.
