Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mrs Patricia Olubunmi Etteh, detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) on suspicious and shady financial involvement with Phil Jin Projects Limited, has been released by the Commission.

She was released on Friday, 20 May 2022 upon fulfilling bail conditions offered to her by investigators working on her matter. She is however to report periodically to assist in further investigations.

Etteh was arrested on Tuesday 17th May by the anti-graft agency in Abuja for questioning.

Etteh was elected Speaker in 2007 but resigned only after a few months amid allegations of financial misappropriation.
