COACH Augustine Eguavoen has invited 30 players to camp for next year’s African Nations Championship finals.
The invited players include 3 goalkeepers from Enyimba Football Club, Kwara United and Remo Stars.
9 defenders, 7 midfielders and 11 forwards make up the roaster, including 5 players from Remo Stars, which is second on the Nigeria Premier Football League table.
Defenders, Taiwo Abdulrafiu and Steven Mayo are the two players called up from Rivers United, the league pacesetters.
Kano Pillars’ midfielder Rabiu Ali, who has scored eight goals this season, is among the players called, as well as Abia Warriors’ exciting forward Sunday Megwo.
Victor Collins, the Nasarawa United defender called up for last month’s 2025 AFCON qualifying matches against Benin Republic and Rwanda, and Plateau United’s Adamu Abubakar, were also called up.
The team will be camping at the Remo Stars Sports Institute, Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State, and players are expected to start reporting on Wednesday, 4th December 2024.
This is the second phase of the Super Eagles B, camping ahead of the clash against their eternal rivals Ghana. In October, 35 players called up by Augustine Eguavoen spent a few days together in Abuja.
The first leg of the qualification fixture against Ghana’s Black Stars B is scheduled for the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, 22nd December.
The second leg will take place at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo on Saturday, 28th December.
