KEBBI STATE governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu has appealed to Nigerians to continually pray for the new administration at all levels for effective and efficient delivery of dividends of democracy to the electorate.
The governor stated this in his Eid-el-Kabir message to Muslim Ummah to mark the 1444AH/2023 Sallah celebration.
He said the call became imperative in view of the importance of seeking divine intervention in all aspects of human endeavour.
“Prayer is key to the success of any administration, as we alone, as leaders, cannot do better except with people’s support, cooperation and most importantly their prayers.
*As we celebrate the 1444 Eid-el-Kabir, may Allah accept our Ibadat and put us among His pious servants that will inherit Aljannatul Firdaus,” he prayed.
Governor Idris urges Muslims to exhibit the spirit of brotherliness, tolerance and accommodate all manner of people irrespective of tribe, ethnicity and religion.
A statement by Mallam Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary governor quotes him as urging Nigerians to see themselves as one people “striving hard to ensure unity, progress and development of our dear nation.”
While congratulating the Muslims for yet another Sallah celebration, the governor advised all and sundry to project the gospel of peace and unity.
