The candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti state in the gubernatorial election that took place on Saturday in the state has emerged victorious in the election.
In the result released by INEC,the APC Candidate,Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji popularly known as BAO won in fifteen out of the sixteen local government areas of the state,while the candidate of the major opposition party,the PDP,Mr Bisi Kolawole won in his Efon Alaye local government,while former Governor Segun Oni of the social Democratic Party (SDP) didn’t win any local government,aside his polling booth and ward.
The election was characterized by impressive turn out of voters across the sixteen local government areas of the state.
This will be the first time in the history of the state when an incumbent Governor will be installing a successor.
