FORMER Liverpool FC star Rinsola Babajide has been handed her maiden call-up to Nigeria’s senior women’s national team, Super Falcons.
This comes after the 25-year-old switched her international allegiance to Nigeria having been born in London, England and played for the European country’s youth national teams
Babajide, who is now on the books of Spanish club Tenerife, is one of the 22 players invited by Nigeria for the Paris 2024 Women’s Olympic Football Tournament qualification fixture against Ethiopia.
Ethiopia will host the first leg of the second-round fixture in Addis Ababa on Wednesday, 25th October with the second leg in Nigeria on Tuesday, 31st October.
