A key member of Nigeria’s men’s national basketball team, D’Tigers, Jordan Nwora, will miss the forthcoming 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, later this month.

D’Tigers are expected to regroup in Abidjan next week ahead of the qualifiers also scheduled to take place between the 26th and 28th of this month in the coastal Ivorian city of Abidjan.
The choice of Abidjan as a camping venue for D’Tigers is based on economic and logistic reasons.
The details of the players that will be in Abidjan to continue Nigeria’s quest for a place in the 2023 FIBA World Cup is in the back pocket of the team manager, Musa Adamu and will be made public next week.
It was gathered that D’Tigers Head Coach, Mike Brown, will be available to lead the team that will confront Host Cote d’Ivoire, Africa Basketball Powerhouse Angola and Nigeria’s West African friends, Guinea in the qualifiers.
D’Tigers were led to the third qualifiers window in Kigali, Rwanda by Mike Brown’s Assistant, Alan Major, however, there are strong indications that Mike Brown, the new head coach of Sacramento Kings, will be on ground in Abidjan for the all-important qualifiers.
Nigeria will begin the fourth Window of the qualifiers against host Cote D’Ivoire on Friday the 26th of August before meeting Guinea a day after and will file out against Angola on Sunday 28th of August.
