The world football governing body, shopping mode FIFA has expressed their gratitude to former Manchester United star player, Cristiano Ronaldo following his team’s 1-0 loss to Morocco in the quarter-final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup which confirmed their exit from the competition.
FIFA took to their official Facebook Page to share a 38 seconds video which showed Cristiano Ronaldo’s performance and some of the goals he scored in the five FIFA World Cups he has played. While sharing the video, FIFA said “Thank You, Cristiano Ronaldo”.
The Portuguese captain was seen after the game crying bitterly as he walked down the tunnel after the match. The former Juventus player is currently 37 years and will be 41 years old when the next FIFA World Cup will take place in 2026. So it is obvious that he might not be able to play in the tournament again due to his age.
