MANCHESTER UNiTED have finalized an agreement with Italian Serie A outfit Inter Milan for the purchase of goalkeeper Andre Onana, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 27-year-old Cameroonian will become the Red Devils’ new man in-between the sticks following the exit of long-time shot-stopper David de Gea.
Negotiations for a new goalkeeper feel like they have lasted months. However, the club for once have actually moved relatively quickly to secure a pivotal signing.
Since the window opened, Onana appeared to be the only one for Erik ten Hag who was keen to sign the player he once called ‘masterful’. It is thought personal terms would not pose an issue, with both parties desperate for the deal to come off.

Understand André Onana will sign a five-year deal at Manchester United — valid until June 2028.
Manchester United will also include an option for further season, until 2029.
Sources feel it was ‘impossible to reject Man United’ for Onana, ready to sign.
Fabrizio Romano reported via Twitter: “André Onana to Manchester United, it’s finally here we go!
“Clubs are closing in on the agreement then Onana will travel for medical tests and contract signing. Man Utd is set to request VISA for Onana for the USA trip. Ten Hag will have the new goalkeeper he wanted.”
If all goes to plan, Onana will put pen to paper on a five-year contract with an option for a further season. The former Ajax Amsterdam star will be on the plane to the United States, as the club intensifies pre-season preparations.
Onana also becomes the second summer signing of the transfer window for Manchester United, after midfielder Mason Mount from Chelsea.
