Fire Guts WAEC Lagos Office, Rescue Operations Ongoing

The fire at the West African Examination Council (WAEC) Lagos office has been put off while rescue operations are ongoing.

It was put out around 8 am as the situation was put under control. Evacuation operation is still ongoing.

It was learnt that the fire outbreak was caused by a power surge in one of the offices which rapidly spread to other floors.

According to reports, several people were trapped in the building as the fire raged.

The fire had broken out in the middle of the high-rise building and those trapped in the building were seen frantically calling for help.
