AT least five young men have reportedly been electrocuted while trying to mount a billboard with a metal frame in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
It was gathered that the tragic incident, which occurred on Monday, 21 August at Rumuosi Community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state, left at least four others hospitalized at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH).
According to reports, the victims were private businessmen who were contacted to mount a billboard for a church along the Rumuosi axis, near the Obiri-Ikwerre flyover.
The team of nine men were said to have lifted the gigantic structure when its metal component touched the cable and immediately conducted an electric current.
The current was said to have gripped and shocked five of them to death while four others were said to be battling for survival.
