ALL is now set for the third Menstrual Kit Distribution programme of the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation, Nigeria (OIFN) in Lagos, Nigeria in collaboration with Days For Girls.
According to the founder of OIFN, Tarela Aghanti, the need to provide such interventions can’t be overemphasized due to the poverty situation in underdeveloped countries, where the average school-age girl can’t afford menstrual kits and the issues of culture and tradition.
Activities of the day included the distribution of 100 DfG kits donated by the Alachua FL Team, as well as Menstrual Education supported by the Ambassador of Women’s Health.
All arrangements have been concluded for the event scheduled to hold on Monday, 24th April 2023 at Jakande Estate, Oke-Afa, Ejigbo, Lagos.
Aghanti says the theme for the event is ‘Hygiene In Menstruation – My Thing’‘, and that the whole idea is to educate young girls about hygiene as it relates to their menstrual cycle and provide them with the kits to navigate the circle.
The event is slated for 11 am.
