Hajiya Aisha Rufai Dead, Buhari, Aregbesola Mourn

NIGERIA’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the passing of Hajiya A’isha Rufa’i, the Secretary/Director of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Board of the Ministry of Interior (CDCFIB)

The President made his feelings known in a statement by his Spokesman, Malam Garba Shehu, on Monday in Abuja.

While expressing his deep sorrow and grief, Buhari recalled the contribution of the deceased to the Federal Civil Service as an organiser and effective administrator in all her previous roles.

He prayed for the repose of her soul and fortitude for her larger family members in Kano to bear the loss.

Meanwhile, the late A’isha received the commendation of the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, for her “commitment and dedication to duty”.

In a statement he personally signed, Aregbesola,  who is the Chairman of CDCFIB, informed that the deceased passed on on Monday morning after a brief illness. 

The statement read: “Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun. 

“With a heavy heart but in total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, I join friends, family, and the entire staff in mourning the passing of Mrs. Aisha Ahmed Rufa’i, the Secretary to the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB). Mrs. Ahmed passed away this morning after a brief illness.

“May Almighty Allah forgive her sins and grant her Jannatul-Firdaus.

“In light of this sad news, all official engagements in my office are postponed until further notice as we mourn the loss of this loyal, hardworking, and committed officer”.
