THE burial arrangements for the late Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc, Herbert Wigwe; his wife, Chizoba; and their eldest son, Chizzy have been released.
Eighteen-Eleven Media reports that an important feature of the programme indicates that while the husband and wife will be buried the same day, 8th Match 2024, their eldest son, Chizzy is scheduled to be committed to Mother Earth a day earlier.
According to the week-long programme, on 4th March 2024, the Bankers Committee’s Celebration of Herbert will be held, followed by a Service of Songs for Chizzy on 5th March 2024 and another Service of Songs for the deceased Wigwes in the evening of the same day.
On 6th March, from 11 am to 3 pm, a commemoration event will celebrate Herbert’s impactful contributions to the Social Impact Space, followed by an Evening Service of Songs for Herbert at Redeemed Christian Church, City of David Parish, Lagos State.
On 7th March, a Service of Songs will be held at the parish where the father of the late Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc worships.
On the same day in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, Chizzy will be interred, while a Service of Songs will be held for Herbert and Chizoba.
On 8th March, a funeral service will be held for Herbert and Chizoba before their interment.
There will be a reception for guests on March 9, and a Thanksgiving Service on 10th March.
Herbert Wigwe; his wife, Chizoba; and eldest son, Chizzy, died in a helicopter crash in the United States of America on 10th February 2024. A chopper transporting the banker and the founder of Wigwe University crashed and killed him as well as five others in California. The chopper was headed to Las Vegas when it crashed near a border city between Nevada and California. They were said to be on their way to watch the Superbowl, the annual final season game of the American Football League.
