How Five-Year-Old Success Was Abducted — Success’ Aunty
Q: Can we meet you?
I am Felicia Abi. The mother of Success is my elder sister.
Q: How did she get missing?
She was playing with her elder brother.
Q: How old is the brother?
13 years. He said they were playing in the compound when a woman came around. He said a woman came and left with his sister, that he couldn’t properly see the woman’s face but he saw her back. and that the little girl was telling him that “this Aunty wanted to buy something for me”
He said he came out of the compound and saw them (Sucess and the woman) enter a shop next to their compound so he went back reluctantly thinking it is one of their neighbours or something.
But before the mum could realise what was happening, the brother was shouting that his sister followed one Aunty that they went to buy something and that he has not seen her.
So that is how the entire thing started. We went to the woman selling stuff but she said she actually saw a woman come into the shop with the girl to buy something but that the woman ended up not buying anything.
Q: Do the women selling stuff know the woman in question?
Nobody knows her. Even the brother said he didn’t see the face and up till now, we have not been able to find her.
Q: Have you reported to the police?
Yes. They said they will commence an investigation immediately.
Q: Has anyone contacted the family possibly for ransom payment?
No!
