THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Kogi State editing the 11th November 2023 election, Dino Melaye, has said that he will not challenge the result of the exercise which gave victory to the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Usman Ododo, saying he has lost confidence in the judiciary.
The PDP governorship candidate, who came a distant third in the election, on Wednesday, 29 November alleged that the court is now an APC department rather than an autonomous institution.
It will be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced Mr Ododo as the winner of the poll.
But speaking earlier today Mr Dino said: “Judiciary is no longer the last hope of the ordinary people, it is now a department under the All Progressives Congress. Why should any responsible person go to the tribunal when the APC has captured the judiciary? I have lost complete confidence in the judiciary.”
