Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has disclosed that he will soon speak on recent happenings in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The governor, in a statement by his Special Assistant Media, Kelvin Ebiri, said it has become pertinent for him to speak and reveal to Nigerians all that has transpired in the PDP since the emergence of former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as the presidential candidate of the party.
“On Atiku, I will speak soon and Nigerians will know the actual truth of all that has transpired in the PDP in recent times.”
Eighteen-Eleven Media recalls that Governor Wike lost the party presidential ticket to Alhaji Atiku in the Special National Convention of the party held in Abuja in May. He was later rumoured to be the preferred vice presidential candidate but Alhaji Atiku chose the Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa. Peace appears to have become an essential community within the party even as some PDP governors appear sympathetic to the Rivers State governor’s cause.
