INVESTIGATIVE journalist David Hundeyin has been declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
Hundeyin, the Editor-in-Chief of West Africa Weekly, according to Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, is being wanted in connection with the prosecution of Isaac Bristol.
Bristol is accused of managing the prominent anonymous whistleblower account PIDOM Nigeria and faces charges concerning money laundering, cybercrime, and the illegal dissemination of classified documents.
ACP Adejobi further disclosed that Hundeyin and Michael Temidayo Alade are being sought as alleged accomplices in the case.
Bristol is currently being held at Kuje Correctional Centre following his arraignment at a Federal High Court in Abuja.
Hundeyin, an award-winning journalist recognised for his investigative work on corruption and human rights abuses, is reportedly in exile to evade persecution by Nigerian authorities.
The police’s move highlights the ongoing tensions and legal complexities surrounding the case.
