THE Obidient Movement has discountenanced a recent media suggesting that it has joined the Action Democratic Party (ADC), stating that it is not only untrue but propaganda and an attempt at undermining and derailing its activities.
The Movement in a release by Hon Chidiebere Darlington Anyanwu CHYDON, Personal Assistant on Media and Publicity to Dr Tanko Yunusa, the National Coordinator Movement, said it has not yet joined or associated itself with any other political party or any coalition.
“From the video in circulation, we only saw members from the Coalition of the Protection of Democracy (COPDEM) in a meeting with the National Leadership of ADC.
“Please, be informed that COPDEM is an organisation which also serves as one of the support groups and as such is not the Obidient Movement nor does it have any authority to negotiate with any political party on behalf of the Obidient Movement.
“We want to reassure the general public that the Obidient Movement is dedicated and is working tirelessly with critical stakeholders and people of like minds who are desirous of seeing a new Nigeria through our principal his Excellency Mr Peter Obi
“We, therefore, consider all this propaganda as an attempt to undermine and derail the activities of the Obidient Movement which is solidly behind HE Mr Peter Obi.”
The Obidient Movement is a pan-Nigerian socio-political group driven by passionate young Nigerians who embody the aspirations of a generation determined to reclaim Nigeria’s future and build a better nation for all its citizens.
