THE Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Saturday announced 140 as the minimum cut-off point for admission into Nigerian universities and 100 for polytechnics in the 2023/2024 academic session.
The minimum cut-off mark was accepted at the ongoing Policy Meeting on Admissions presided by the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, David Adejo, in Abuja.
The board noted that the implication was that every institution had the right to fix its own cut-off mark but no one would be allowed to go less than the agreed minimum marks of 100 for colleges of education, 100 for polytechnics and 140 for universities.
